About the event
A chance to learn more about our local woodland and footpaths on a social walk with Wye Valley National Landscape, with bilberries, Belted Galloways and a bench at the Duchess’s favourite viewpoint!
Join the Wye Valley National Landscape Team, in collaboration with The Narth & District Footpath Group, on this 4½ mile circular walk taking in a stretch of the Wye Valley Walk and following paths around the conservation grazing area of Beacon Hill. Find out how the Belted Galloways and Ancient Cattle of Wales are helping nature to flourish on this restored heathland and why the woodlands of the Lower Wye Valley are so important.
We will follow the Wye Valley Walk along the Duchess’s Ride to her favourite viewpoint, where a new Wye Valley Walk bench has been installed to mark the 50th anniversary of this much-loved 138 mile trail.
Bring tea/coffee and cake to enjoy whilst taking…
