2024 | LATEST NEWS FROM SOME OF OUR LOCAL GROUPS

Latest news from the Life of Manor Wood Project

The Narth & District Footpath Group has set out to discover more about the woodland on our doorstep. 'The Life of Manor Wood' project will look at the natural, social and industrial histories of the woods. We aim to publish our findings as a book in 2024. To make a start, a group of experts came together one morning in November 2022 to look at the wood’s fungi and found 48 different species! And we have just been successful in our application for a £3000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to help us run community events and start gathering material for the Project! You can view our blog for all the latest project developments.

To find out more speak to any of the project group (see below) or visit www.thelifeofmanorwood.wordpress.com or email us at thelifeofmanorwood@gmail.com.
